Ted C. MacRae is a research entomologist by vocation and beetle taxonomist by avocation. Areas of expertise in the latter include worldwide jewel beetles (Buprestidae) and North American longhorned beetles (Cerambycidae). More recent work has focused on North American tiger beetles (Cicindelidae) and their distribution, ecology, and conservation.

    Saw you sunday doing the backwards Bugman. Spotted you on Big Bend turning south onto Sulphur Springs. I was already committed to going east on Big Bend otherwise I would of rolled up and chatted while you bombed down Vance.

    Yep, did the whole route again. I like backwards better when I start from my house, if I go clockwise I end up with all the hills in the last 30 miles – OUCH!

    Did you see Justin et al.? I passed them going the other way just after I finished climbing Ries.
