Random thoughts from the past few weeks:

  • Ice is slippery.
  • Snow is slippery.
  • Rain is slippery.
  • Shawn gets the “winter masher” award!
  • 12 degrees never felt so good, thanks to Assos’ “Winter Glove System™” (he said with his nose up in the air).
  • Big gear hill work will ruin your 19t cog!
  • The only thing better than a 4-hour ride on Sunday mornings is 4-hour ride followed by pigging out while watching football on Sunday afternoon (and Sunday night… and Monday night… and sometimes Thursday night).
  • TK is looking good in yellow.
  • When wearing new cycling shoes, don’t confuse a high instep with wearing them too tight.
  • White shoes suck if you can’t show them off.
  • A bad ride in the hills of Wildwood is better than a good ride in the flats of Columbia.
  • If you wait for them, they will never be on time.
